Hi,
stuggling mother and grandmother in need of emergency assistance. I was downsized from my job, which I did for 22years and can't find work anywhere. This is probably due to my age, but I have had no luck at all. My family and myself now find ourselves on the verge of homelessness if we done find immediate assistance.
I have never been in this situation and have not a clue where to start looking. If anyone has any suggestions, please help.

I'm worried and need some help! I just don't now where to turn right now. XcelEnergy is killing me softly. I have a 9k bill as i speak. I can't get help from any agencies because of this balance and im about to lose my Section 8 housing. I have some disabilities that prevent me from working. I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren, who needs this home that i'm trying to keep for us. Xcel Enery said that if i can't come up with 1000.00 they will restore my Gas service, and if that gets restored i can present it to the housing authorities to stop this action towards me. I have a hearing with them on Aug. 24th @9am, so please show me your support. If you have the Lord in your heart to give a helping hand plz do, if not, just praying for me and my family will do just fine. Hi we are the Yerby family and we are 2 weeks if not less from living in our van. It is not like we have just decided to move or stop paying rent.We are family that has been hit by the recession. We moved to Georgia for my husband to get a job and he did for awhile. When he was terminated they ask that we leave the property. Here in lies our problem, we have no money and no family in the area. We have since been seacrching for jobs but it has been slow. I have a 15 year old daughter, my husband, and my dog. I know my dog may not be important to you but she is family to me. I am just asking for help to either find a place in Macon, GA or help with the deposit and first month rent. We are a close and loving family, who are trying to stand on our feet after being knocked down. I have complete faith that God has not brought me this far to let me fall by the wayside. I am asking for someone or serveral people to look at me and my families and see that we are trying but need help. I am praying for a miracle but hoping that God makes on of you that miracle. I am sitting here and can not sleep because I am praying that God see me as someone worthy of his help. I am trying to keep a calm demeanor so I won't scare my husband or daugther. I am afraid that by next week we will be living out of our van and believe me it is too small for 3. I really need a blessing. Hi to everbody I hope somewhere there are people that can isist me in may time of need. My daughter of 3 had a big bladder and kidney operation this year. unfortunatly i am a single mom and the doctors expensis is already almost R20 000 I do not earn much of a salary just enouth for rent and food not for extra doctor expenses. A story we have all heard before - a woman's life changed after an abusive relationship. I'm a single mother, as you might guess, of 2 beautiful daughters. I worked with my significant other, so when we split I also lost my source of income. I'm busting butt to make ends meet, but we've been hit with one emergency room visit for a little human and one emergency vet visit for a pet. We stand to lose two members of our family this week - the $ set aside for horse board was spent on emergency vet bill. So, if anyone out there could offer help, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm a tax accountant, so I could offer tax preparation in some states. If you could find it in your heart to help a family that is down, we will do everything we can to show our gratitude. I'm also in need of a TX business attorney. Ex-boyfriend is also current business partner, and continues to break law after law knowing that I cannot afford to hire a lawyer to protect my interests in the LLC.

   Im a mother of 3kids, 2boys and a girl. I moved to VA to start new from a 10yr relationship that went wrong, he decided to be with someone else while I was still living there.Now when I moved cause of how bad the money was in Detroit Mi, I couldnt find a job so I was sell dinners out of my home so it got real bad between me and the kids father I took the kids and moved to my brothers house. Something bad happen happened to my daughter so I had to moved out that home as well. The only place I knew my kids would have a safe place to sleep was their fathers home I also asked him if I could sleep there as well he told me no so I slept in the car for a month.I called mom and told her everything and she told me that she can help me with a job and she will help with trasportation to VA so with the money I saved up from dinners I sold out my home I got a ticket for me and daughter to go to VA and I would come back for my boysand me and their father agree on that plan. So me and my daughter went to VA, for about 9months staying in VA with my mom I decided to go back to Detroit for my birthday and see my boy on my birthday. When I got to the apt they lived in it was so nasty and it smelled so bad that my nose was burning. I couldnt just let my kids live that way so I had a long talk with their father and told him that I was going to take the boys with me to Va,and he said ok.Then when the day came for me and the boys to leave to VA he gave me court paper for custody for only the boys. I only have a part-time job and have to go back and forth to Detroit for court thats about $200 and round trip. I just got me and the kids a three bedroom apt but I cant really move in right away cause my car will only drive for 15mins without over heating and my apt is 35mins away.My car needs a transmission replacement its not ever changing gears anymore, my rear right break needs to be replace and the left control arm needs to be replaced. I also need furniture for my new home,me and my daughter only came with our cloths and I need this for the custody battle my next trail Jan 7th 2009. My daughter do not want to be way from her brothers for no longer she to the point of crying when she see their pictures. We really need this help chrismas look bad for my kids and I truely wants them to have one.But I will be more then greatful if anyone could help me and my kids with my car and home. Please help us be togather again,I was always the one taking care of them I just needed time and now I have home and car and it took a yr to get them. I never tookdrugs and I dont smoke or drink.  I am a 28 year old female whom is in desperate need of help from anyone who can be of assistance to me. My mother passed away last July and at the time of her death I was unaware that her insurance had lapsed after Hurricane Katrina. She had become unable to continue making any payments because of strained income. My family and I had to raise the money to have her funeral service and open a burial plot. MY family shut me out and took over everything because I didn't have the money to take care of my mothers funeral costs. They were responsible for paying the cemetery for her plot, and has been lieing to me over the past year saying they have been making payments, but I found out today that no payments have been made for the past year, which will soon result in my mothers body being taken out and put in an unmarked grave in the city. The beginning amount was $2900, but because no payments were made, interest built up and now it is $3450. The man I spoke with told me that if I could come up with at least $1000, he would be willing to work with me and not remove my mothers body from the mausoleum. I am asking that anyone who is able to reach out to me in this time, please do if you can. I know that we are in hard economic times right now, and its hard for everybody,but please help if you can. I will be truly and forever grateful to you. May God Bless You all.

Iam a recently single parent of 5 kiddos. I have just gone through a battle with cancer which depleted my savings down to zero. Our water has been turned off and the lights are next. I am not one to seek or ask for assistance but am humbling myself to ask for help. I just requesting $700 to pay my water and have it turned back on before the weekend hits and the rest for my electric bill which is up for disconnect as early as Monday of next week.

I am new here but have been through a lot in my life and have had many chances to learn how to obtain help. I hope to be able to pass this help on to others through this site. I have worked for Social Security, mental health, have some legal training, social service training and in touch with many outside public services for help within the state of Michigan. I have only gained all this knowledge because of my needs and the lack of money to hire people to help me or lack of people in area with know how to help. I am not trying to come off as a person who knows it all I just want to be able to help others to not have to go through what I have had to over many years with many agencies. You have to become a pushy person sometimes on your own behalf to get anywhere!!!! I hope to be able to talk with others pass information on and to learn new.

I am at this time a volunteer for several agencies so have some access to resourches to help in some situations.

I hate asking people for help in any way. I am the one who is always there to help other people when they need it. I volunteer regularly and for many events I do fundraising.

Now the time has come for me to reach out to others and lower my pride and ask for help. I lived with roommates that moved out. I was left with huge utility bills.  I am on housing assistance (it took me 3 years to get on this program and I can loose it if I get totally shut off.  I am also on RSDI- because I am disabled.

Every program or agency I have turned to, has turned me away due to funding issues.They have already shut off the gas 3 weeks ago. I just had a minor surgery for a MRSA  Staph Infection. I will have major surgery for it the end of July.

I need to soak in the bathtub and it has been just awful with cold water, but I can handle that. What I am having trouble with is now the electric company is coming Monday to shut off the electric I have a breathing machine that needs the electric to run for my lung disease. I am scared and have no idea what to do now.

The gas bill is $469.00 (xcel energy)   The electric bill is  $375.00 (connexus) The water bill is $257.16(city of forest lake). I am willing to show the bills to anyone who is willing to assist me.

 I am hoping there is someone out there that can assist me with at least the electric bill. Someone suggested I go to Modest Needs.I did  and they cannot assist me. They don't accept faxes or papers mailed in, you have to scan documents to them and I cannot find access to  one.

Hi, my name is Josh. I am 25 years old and I am in a rough situation this week.

 I lost my job a month and a half ago due to the fact that the business closed down. I was able to keep my bills up for a few weeks by doing odd jobs. (I am a carpenter by trade.) However my bills kept getting further and further behind.

 I now owe half a month on my rent payment (300.00) and I am stuck 1200 miles away from my wife and 5 month old son. I accepted a job with usa trucking company and was sent to cdl school in Indiananapolis,In. for 3 weeks. I graduated the school yesterday and came to my parents house in Hammond,In.. I am from Stevenson,Al.

 Due to the food expense while I was in school I now dont have the gas money to get home until my trainer picks me up in 1 week. I haven't seen my wife or son in 3 weeks and I would really like to get home to see them. If i dont get home to see them and i let my trainer pick me up here I will not get back home for 4 to 6 more weeks.

 I hate to be here asking for help like this but I can prove every word of what I say. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out and get me home for a few days. My landlord is willing to work with me on the rent until I get paid in 3 weeks,but I cant stay away from my wife and baby for 2 months without going crazy.
